Process

How we make things people keep.

No mystery and no sixty-slide decks. Here’s how an idea becomes something people open every day — the same way for our products and for yours.

The five moves

From a hunch to something people keep.

Every product goes through the same five moves — ours and the ones we make with other people. The order is the point: feeling first, pixels second, and launch is only the start.

  1. 1

    Listen first.

Who is this for, where are they when they open it, and how should they feel when they close it? Every project starts as a one-page brief — the same kind you’ll find on our homepage.

What you get: a brief you can hold us to.

  2. 2

    Find the character.

A name, a voice, a palette — sometimes a mascot. Before a single screen, we decide what this thing is like as a person, so everything after it looks and sounds like one idea.

What you get: an identity people remember.

  3. 3

    Design for the thumb.

Real screens on a real phone, early and often. Calm layouts, honest words, and the small moments of delight that make people smile the first time and the fiftieth.

What you get: screens you can tap, not slides.

  4. 4

    Tell it with motion.

Scroll scenes, transitions, micro-interactions — motion that explains what’s happening and makes a page feel alive, while respecting everyone who turns motion off.

What you get: a page people scroll twice.

  5. 5

    Ship it, then stay.

It goes live, feels instant on any phone, and then the good part starts: watching how people use it, sanding the rough edges, and making it better every month.

What you get: a product that keeps improving.

What people bring us

Four ways in.

Most projects start as one of these. If yours doesn’t fit neatly, even better — tell us anyway.

A new product.

You have an idea and an audience. We shape it into something people want to open — name, brand, screens, and a working first version.

A brand with character.

Name, identity, mascot, and voice for something that has to stand out in a feed full of lookalikes.

A launch page.

One page that makes people stop scrolling — a story told with motion, like the ones on this site.

A calmer redesign.

A product that works but feels loud, cluttered, or generic. We keep what people love and quiet the rest.

Lines we don’t cross

Five things we won’t do, for anyone.

Taste is mostly what you refuse. These hold for our products and for every project we take on.

No dark patterns.

No fake countdowns, guilt-trip streaks, or buttons that shame you for saying no.

No ads, no creepy tracking.

People are the audience, not the product. Their things stay theirs.

Motion with manners.

Every animation has a reason, and every page still works for people who switch motion off.

Phone first.

Everything is designed for a thumb before a mouse, because that’s where people actually are.

Words are design.

The copy is written with the interface, not pasted in after — every button says what it does.

Questions

The straight answers.

Do you take on outside projects?

Yes. Alongside our own products, we take on a few outside projects when the fit is right. Tell us who it’s for and how it should feel — we’ll be honest about whether we’re the right studio.

What does the first conversation look like?

A short call, no deck required. Bring the idea, the audience, and anything you already have. You’ll leave with our honest take, even if the answer isn’t us.

Do you only design, or do you build too?

Both. Brand, interface, motion, and the working product live under one roof, so nothing gets lost between the mockup and the launch.

Can you work with our existing brand?

Yes. Sometimes the best move is to sharpen what’s already there instead of starting over.

What have you made?

Orpheus, cashout.community, and GPA Shark — all designed and run here. They’re the portfolio: open them on your phone and see how they feel.
